I’d also like to address that I’m working on writing more this year, expanding my words to touch more lives, and to share that I have some new and fun exciting project ideas on the way!
I’ve decided to create a “Professional Instagram” page, were I’d like to expose my poetry, quotes, short stories, advise through my knowledge, and display my soon to come videos or audio recordings!
I hope you all will follow and join me in this exciting journey!

Thanks y’all! I’m excited!
I have a bucket list. A list with things I’d like to do and accomplish before I die. I’ve had this list since I was young and it’s slowly build up to a longer list as I have gotten older. One of the things on my list was to make a difference in a strangers life whom I’ve barely know. Today I can finally check that off my list. After my moms death I’ve received nothing but positive words from all my friends, family, and loved ones. They have seen me struggle, they have seen me cry, they have seen me laugh, and even scream. Therefore they constantly tell me how admiring my strength is and their words continue to be a blessing in my life when times get rough. However, they know me therefore it’s a little bit normal coming from them.
Today I received a letter as I was leaving class this morning. This random girl came up to me and told me ” Hey! I know we don’t really know each other but, I know your mom’s anniversary just passed and I wanted to give you and your family a little something. There is a letter in the envelope and it explains it all.” I was definitely caught off guard, and I knew the class knew about my mother’s anniversary because the class is about “death and dying,” so my professor had asked me a while back ago to share my story with them. But when I open this letter, I was left speechless with what I was reading!
The girl stated in the letter that she had been in my class two years ago when my mother passed away. She overheard me telling the professor what had happened and why I had missed class. She said she went home that night crying, she hugged her mother and told her how much she loved her and appreciated her. Since then she stated that throughout my two years at CSUDH I have been her motivation and inspiration. She told me she appreciated me, and in her words “You have changed my life.” There is so much more to the letter, but the point is I’ve accomplished something so beautiful.
I’ve always had a passion for loving and helping others, I truly believe this is my purpose in this world.
I love the field I’m studying, and I can’t wait to get out there and continue to do what I did for this random stranger.
This letter left me with many emotions, it brought me to tears as I thought of my mom and all that has happened. But, it also brought a smile amongst my face as I realized what a difference I have made in the life of a total stranger without even realizing it.
I truly believe that this is what life is about! These are the moments that make the bad times in life easier to deal with. This is what we are here for, to leave our mark and be remembered for the wonderful things that we did… Not just accomplished ourselves but also what we did for others.
This is why I WRITE.
This is why I let go of my privacy and share my life stories and thoughts, with so many people and total strangers.
This is it, I believe that this is what I am here for. 🙌🏻😊
Behind her success stands her will power and strength.
She is a woman.
A woman who knows her value.
A lady with class, who knows how to have fun but, also knows the importance of how she represents herself.
Her laughter is memorable, and her kisses are unforgettable.
Her intelligence shines through her pores, and wanting to know her can become an addiction.
Her inviting eyes carry her sorrows yet, represent her pure kindness.
Though she carries the burden of being strong, it’s what attracts the man to her persona.
She is a woman.
It can become a difficult task to keep her, and a true shame if you forfeit.
I like to think self love is like nutrients to your soul.
Because with out it, I always felt empty and longing for “something;”
Only to find that this something was within me.
Throughout the stress, work, pain, fear, and the worries; make room for life and live.
When you have come to realize that your happiness is internal, you have reached the true capacity of living.
You have found that that the external forces of this world are irrelevant, and completely out of your control.
You have found that they do not bring or create your internal happiness.
You have found that only you can decide what you make of this life, and how far you are willing to go to succeed and accomplish all of your dreams.
You have found that you are enough and do not acquire anything to feel complete.
When you have come to realize that your happiness is internal, you have come to realize that you are free from expectations or desires to be able to live.
When you come to realize that your happiness is internal, you have reached the true capacity of living…
and you are now complete.
Ever wonder why some people are less mature than other people of the same age?
Now, there is nothing wrong with a woman/man that can be a kid at heart at the right time.
I personally will forever enjoy sitting on a swing at the park, or filling up some water balloons in the summer and having an epic water balloon fight.
Anyway, I’m talking about those people that even though they have aged by the years, they continue to react with ignorance to different life situations.
I mean, I’ll admit I am guilty of stooping down to the level of some of these people sometimes…
(I’m sure we all do it)
However, in my defense I usually don’t start anything.
For the most part, I try my very best to stir away from immature people.
talking about those who have aged but, still have not grown to take responsibility for their own actions or mistakes.
I don’t know about you guys, but every time I encounter people like this I ask myself… “Why?”
I learned the other day, that these people may have a birthday every year but some of them do not necessarily allow them selves to grow from the year they got to live.
They don’t allow themselves to learn from their mistakes, nor to take the life lessons they have received and grow from them.
Instead, some of these people continue to allow themselves to play victims, to act like it’s everyone else’s fault why things happen to them, and to make themselves believe that if they ignore the issues they have encountered or the issues they have with themselves… it will all just “poof” and dissappear.
If you are one of these people, sorry pal, it doesn’t work that way!
Not only do they do this but some of them also allow their experiences to become so profound and they still won’t address them.
Instead they store them in and lock them up.
Only later realizing how much this way of living has hurt them and stopped them from growing as a person.
So I say…
“Stop aging, and start growing!”
As you evolve over the years as a person, you must confront your issues with personal growth. If not, you are aging but you are not growing. This is the only way to actually be able to live and have the opportunity to really look back and say…
“Wow, look at how far I’ve came, look at how much I’ve changed, look at how much I’ve GROWN.”
My mom always said…
“If one person says it, they are just being nasty. But if multiple people say it, over, and over, even the ones you know truly love you… then you might have some self observing to do.”
So with that said, pay close attention to yourself and who you reflect as a person.
Don’t go changing yourself just because one person told you there is something wrong.
Take in the criticism and see what it means, if changing would better you as a person, and if it’s coming from a person that matters and who’s intentions are good.
It’s learning to see yourself through the eyes of others who matter, to better understand yourself and truly grow.
Glow with strength,
make them talk and wonder how you’re still smiling.
